I am sitting on a rocking swing, facing Nashville’s recreation of the parthenon in Centennial Park. It’s on West End, near downtown and it’s one of my favorite places. I love nature; even man-made natural places like parks. There’s something invigorating about being surrounded by green. Green is my favorite color for that very reason – when I am surrounded by grass, trees, bushes, and flowers, I just feel full of life and closer to divinity.
The clouds are round and hanging quite low, purple and grey with rain water that will probably start coming down in a few hours. There’s a cool breeze brushing across me, and I feel for a moment totally at peace. Then I realize there’s a laptop in my hands and I am online. I think about this – blogging about the natural world while I’m in the process of enjoying it. I like the irony.
